Lisa Thompson Midwife, IBCLC and KGHypnobirthing Teacher

LISA THOMPSON (pronouns she / her)

I am passionate about supporting women and birthing people's rights and autonomy while helping them feel confident, calm and in control.  I'm skilled at helping families to achieve the birth that's right for them and supporting the transition into parenthood.

I love teaching and enthusing about birth,  lactation & responsive parenting and I'm profoundly grateful that I am able to witness the transformation that families go through as they journey in pregnancy, birth and with their new babies.

I'm also delighted to be a Certified One of Many Womens' Coach & Trainer - that gives me other ways of working with amazing people as they journey through life.

A note about language

Most of my clients identify as women but I am delighted to support birthing people and families who identify differently.  I am working to use additive language throughout my writing and speaking and please be assured that i will work with the language of your choice during consultations.  Please get in touch if you are looking for support in pregnancy, postnatally or with infant feeding.

Informative and compassionate

Although I'm not currently undertaking full antenatal care privately there may be times you just want somebody to discuss your options, guide you to reliable information and listen to your thoughts.

Nurturing support for new parents

I am particularly skilled in supporting breastfeeding or chestfeeding but however you're feeding your baby I can offer postnatal support via Zoom or in your own home.

“I loved feeding my daughter first time round and so wanted to feed my son but it wasn't working... You made all the difference - I am now happily feeding my son and enjoying every moment of my breastfeeding experience.”

Emma

“Lisa, you made me feel comfortable and confident about feeding.  I cannot thank you enough.”

Natasha

“I am so grateful to you, you made such a difference. The night after I saw you was the best night's sleep we'd had so far - he fed and slept!  No bottle required!”

Fiona

"Birth is not only about making babies. Birth is about making mothers - strong, competent, capable mothers who trust themselves and know their inner strength."
